Boat
Gypsy is a beautifully designed 24.3 m (80 ft) steel-hulled motor yacht that blends comfort, elegance and practicality for extended dive cruises in the Philippines. Completely refitted in 2021 with thoughtful interior redesign, the vessel offers spacious living areas and stable cruising performance at a typical 8–10 knots. Gypsy is fitted with modern safety and navigation systems to ensure secure and comfortable passages.
Gypsy focuses on guest comfort and social interaction. The main salon provides a serene indoor lounge, dining area and camera station — perfect for relaxing after dives and sharing stories. Outside, the yacht features a generous flybridge with multiple seating areas, sun deck lounges with bean bags, and comfortable forward and aft chill zones for sunbathing or enjoying the sea breeze. A well-equipped bar adds to the relaxed social atmosphere onboard.
Meals on board are prepared fresh daily by the onboard crew, with international cuisine served throughout the day. Light breakfasts, hearty lunches, snacks and dinners are offered to fuel divers between dives. A selection of soft drinks and refreshments is typically included.
Diving operations are supported by a spacious dive deck and platform with tank holders and personal rinse stations. Dedicated rinsing stations for cameras and equipment help keep gear clean and organized. Advanced Seakeeper Gyro stabilizers significantly reduce rolling, providing a smoother ride even in rough seas and helping ensure restful nights at anchor.
Cabin
Gypsy has 4 well-appointed cabins, and, accommodating up to 8 guests per trip:
All cabins feature individual air-conditioning, private en-suite bathrooms with showers, ample storage and comfortable bedding.
1 Master Cabin:
Located on the lower deck, this spacious suite offers a large double bed and elegant fittings, portholes.
3 Deluxe Suite Cabins:
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single beds side by side, phortholes.
Diving
- 3 dives per day + alternating additional sunset/night dives.
- No night dives are allowed in the Tubbataha Marine Park.
- Usually No dive on the embarkation and disembarkation day.
- Only 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.
- All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

Itineraries
The Tubbataha Reefs
Day 1 : We will leave at Pura Vida Dive resort in Dauin 12 pm lunch time and drive to Campomanes bay where M/Y Gypsy officially departs to Tubbataha.
Day 2 - 3 : We schedule up to 4 dives per day; 3 day dives and a sunset dive.
Day 3 - 6 : On day 3-6 we recommend spending 2 days at the south and 2 days in the north atoll, famous for big palegic animals encounters at dive sites such as black rock, shark airport, densal wreck and many more. On our last day in Tubbataha we depart for a sunset cruise to Cagayancillo to the amazing Calusa island.
Day 7 : After overnight cruise we arrive in the island of Calusa for our secret dive spot where we can find hammer heads and big schools of fish along with spectacular coral reef. Then we cruise into the shallow reef and anchor. Guests can go on the white sand beach of a private island before having the final dive.
Day 8 : A relaxing breakfast on board, disembarkation between 09:30 and 10:00 back to the resort in Dauin where you arrive on time for lunch and could do a dive or two in the afternoon or relax on a sunbed with a pina colada next to the pool.
Cagayancillo
Day 1 : We will leave at Pura Vida Dive resort in Dauin around 1 pm. Depending on weather we will have 1-2 dives before enjoying sunset.
Day 2 - 4 : We schedule up to 4 dives per day; 3 day dives and a sunset dive, a night dive is possible depending on location.
Day 5 - 6 : We explore the islands of Calusa and Bonbon. We schedule up to 4 dives per day; 3 day dives and a sunset dive, a night dive is possible depending on location
Day 7 : We make our way back to Cagayncillo and get ready to depart but first we have 2 dives before cruising overnight to Dauin.
Day 8 : After leaving in the night or evening before depending on weather we arrive back in Dauin Pura Vida Resort early in the morning.
Malapascua & Ticao Islands
Day 1 : We will leave at Maya port or Malapascua island around 1 pm and dive nearby sites. Once on board, we will get the boat and mandatory briefing and equipment checks. We will have 1-2 dives before enjoying sunset.
Day 2 : We wake up for sunrise as we cruise to Monad shoal for the thresher sharks. Dive 3 and 4 we dive in Gato Island. In the evening or at night we cruise to Ticao Island.
Day 3 - 5 : We explore the islands of Ticao. We start with Manta bowl every morning. Cruise around the island for awesome critters and sharks. We schedule up to 4 dives per day; 3 day dives and a sunset dive, a night dive is possible depending on location.
Day 7 : We arrive early for sunrise dive at Monad shoal for two dives. Dive 3-4 at Chocolate island.
Day 8 : Sunrise dive at Monad with the Thresher sharks before heading back to the island and a breakfast. Please do not book flight on this day.
Coron
Day 1 : We will leave at Pura Vida Dive resort in Dauin 12 pm lunch time and drive to Campomanes bay where M/Y Gypsy officially departs to Tubbataha.

Coron and Apo Reef
Best time for diving
November to May is considered the best diving season, with generally calm seas and optimal visibility. The dry season runs from October to June, offering the most stable weather conditions. Diving is possible year-round, but July to September may experience stronger winds and rougher seas due to the southwest monsoon. Visibility typically ranges between 15 – 30 meters, and currents are usually mild, especially in Coron, while Apo Reef can experience moderate currents.
About temperatures
Air: generally ranges between 26°C – 32°C year-round.
Sea: warm throughout the year, usually between 26°C – 29°C.
Wetsuit Recommendation
A 3 mm wetsuit is recommended year-round. Some divers may prefer a shorty during the warmer months.
Diver requirement

Embarkation / Disembarkation
Most liveaboards embark and disembark in Busuanga / Coron (USU). Some itineraries may start or end in Batangas or Puerto Galera, especially when combined with other destinations. Please ask our agent to confirm the exact port for your selected trip.

The rainy season usually runs from June to October, with occasional typhoons, mainly affecting the northern Visayas. Visibility typically ranges between 15 – 30 meters, with mild to moderate currents depending on the site.

Sea: warm throughout the year, usually between 26°C – 30°C.
Wetsuit Recommendation

Tubbataha Reef
Best time for diving
March to June is considered the best season for diving in Tubbataha, as the seas are calm and visibility is excellent, often between 20 – 40 meters. Currents can be moderate to strong, making some sites more suitable for experienced divers. The park is closed from mid-June to mid-March due to rough seas during the rainy season.
About temperatures
Air: generally ranges between 28°C - 34°C during the diving season.
Sea: warm all year round, around 27°C - 30°C.
Wetsuit Recommendation
A 3 mm wetsuit is usually sufficient, although some divers prefer a 5 mm for longer dives or early-season trips.
Diver requirement
