Itineraries

The Bay Islands of Honduras consist of eight islands and 53 small cays located off the northern coast of Honduras. Our Roatan diving liveaboard trip in Honduras departs from the dock located at Roatan Yacht Club & Marina. The 7 night charter runs from Saturday to Saturday.

Roatan, Bay Islands of Honduras

The Roatan dive sites are the best of the Bay Islands. These islands are Honduras' brightest jems offering divers sheer walls, beautiful shallow reefs, spectacular wrecks and offshore sea mounts. These pristine sea mounts represent a Caribbean frontier rarely explored by divers. Here are some of the areas the Roatan Aggressor will visit.

Getting There

Many major airlines fly direct nonstop from the USA to Roatan (RTB) from multiple gateways on Saturday: American Airlines, Delta, and United. There are many direct flights from the US and several connecting flights through the US gateway cities of Miami, Atlanta, Houston and Dallas.

The ROATAN AGGRESSOR® liveaboard departs for scuba diving trips from the Roatan Yacht Club Marina din French Harbor, Roatan. It is located 7 miles from the Roatán International Airport (RTB).

The new dock location is at the beautiful Roatan Yacht Club Marina located in French Harbor, Roatan. We highly recommend arriving a few days early and staying at RYC which has 25 beautiful suites, 3 restaurants, a swimming pool, dive shop with PADI instructors and much more.

Arrival/Boarding/Departure Roatan

All Saturday flight arrivals are met by a transportation service who will have a representative with a Roatan Aggressor sign at the arrival terminal. Guests will then be transported in an air conditioned bus to Roatan Yacht Club & Marina with their luggage (where the yacht docks) for $20 USD cash per person. Guests may board on Saturday (7-night trips) from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm. If you arrive prior to this time, you can relax at the beautiful Roatan Yacht Club. All guests should be onboard no later than 4:30 pm.

After a full week of scuba diving, the ROATAN AGGRESSOR® liveaboard returns back to the dock located at Roatan Yacht Club Friday afternoon after lunch (2 dives offered Friday). A sunset cocktail party will be hosted on the sundeck with dinner ashore. This is the only meal not included in the charter. Guests may dine at one of the Roatan Yacht Club restaurants. Check-out is Saturday morning at 8 am. The crew will assist organizing transportation back to the Roatán International Airport for $20 USD cash per person or the host hotel if you are extending your stay.

Local Fees/Taxes

A port fee of USD$145 will be collected onboard and in CASH. All onboard purchases including courses, boutique, etc. will incur a 19% VAT tax. The yacht accepts MC/Visa and cash. (Year 2026)

Useful information

Honduras

Best time for diving
March to September is generally considered the best time, with calm seas and excellent conditions. Diving is possible year-round, as Roatan is protected by the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest reef system in the world. The rainy season runs from October to January, with September–October being the peak period for whale shark sightings offshore. Visibility typically ranges between 20 – 40 meters, with usually mild currents, making conditions comfortable for most divers.

About temperatures
Air : usually ranges between 26°C – 32°C throughout the year.
Sea : warm year-round, averaging 26°C – 29°C.

Wetsuit Recommendation
A 3 mm wetsuit is recommended for most of the year. Some divers may prefer a shorty during the warmest summer months.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced divers. Roatan offers calm reef dives, walls, swim-throughs, and shallow sites ideal for training and relaxed diving. You can find out more information about diving here : Honduras.

Embarkation / Disembarkation
Liveaboard trips typically embark and disembark at Roatan International Airport (RTB).

Visa Requirements
Honduras allows visa-free entry for many nationalities for stays of up to 90 days as part of the CA-4 agreement (Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua). Travelers should ensure their passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond their arrival date. More information can be found via the Honduran immigration authorities. Immigration officials may request proof of onward or return travel.

Vaccinations
A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travelers arriving from countries with a risk of yellow fever transmission. It is recommended to consult your local travel health clinic prior to departure.

Money Matters
The local currency is the Honduran Lempira (HNL). USD is widely accepted on Roatan, especially for diving and liveaboard payments. ATMs are available on the island, and major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, dive centers, and restaurants.

Drones
Drone use in Honduras is permitted, but regulations apply, especially near airports, military zones, and populated areas. Always follow local guidelines and airline rules. Please check the latest regulations before traveling.

Extending your holiday
We offer a range of hotels/resorts, land-based diving packages, and excursions that can be arranged before or after your liveaboard holiday. Just ask us if you need such a service.
