Boat
Aparima is a Lagoon 440 catamaran, one of the world’s best-designed charter catamarans. It has been undergone a complete refit in 2017, from cosmetic to mechanical. It is fully equipped for overnight charters to remote locations, as well as luxury day charters sailing through the Mamanucas.
Aparima is 13.5m long and 7m wide, equipped with WiFi, 220v power outlets, 12v USB outlets, air-conditioning, flush toilets, hot and cold water showers, 12KVA generator, as well as a water maker on board, ensuring the utmost in comfort.
The lounge and dining area provides plenty of space for you to enjoy cocktails and a delicious dinner. And the outdoor space caters for all. Enjoy sunset drinks in the spacious seated area, lounge in the sun on the trampolines and mattresses, or relax with a good book on the bean bags and cushions – you can pick your perfect spot.
Aparima are passionate about food. They use only the freshest of ingredients, and want to ensure that the food on board is the food you enjoy. Don’t be surprised if you see the crew heading out to catch you a fish for dinner – there’s nothing we enjoy more… And if it’s you who’s caught the fish, we’ll ensure that we cook it to perfection.
Aparima is fully equipped with all the toys, including paddle boards, diving gear, fishing gear, wake skates, and inflatable biscuits. There is a 20hp rigid tender, as well as a 7m long 60hp Fiji long boat to ensure you can reach those far out diving and fishing spots. This gives you the freedom to pick the activity you want, when you want.
Cabin
Aparima has 4 air-conditioned staterooms, can accommodate 6 - 8 guests per trip.
Aparima can accommodate up to eight guests overnight (up to 3 nights maximum), or six guests overnight on longer charters. For diving charters are for a maximum of 6 guests on board sharing three double bed ensuite cabins due to the increased number of crew.
All staterooms with private ensuite, A/C, natural timber and luxurious linen to ensure the utmost comfort. As well as all-natural toiletries and soft white towels.

Lcated on the main deck, each cabin comes with a double bed, portholes.
Diving & Other Activites

Itineraries
7 Night Fiji Combo Charter Smple
Day 1 : Malolo Lailai
You will be met at the Rhumba in Port Denarau at 10:00am and will be transferred to your boat. Set sail toward beautiful Malolo. Spend your afternoon snorkelling rich coral reefs, try your hand at catching dinner, head out to Fiji’s famous surf breaks to watch the pros at work, or simply relax on board with a good book. Enjoy sunset drinks and a delicious dinner served on board.
Day 2 : Monuriki
Breakfast is served at your leisure. Relax on board as we set sail towards Monuriki, the backdrop to the Tom Hanks Blockbuster “Castaway”. Spend the rest of the afternoon trying your hand at catching dinner, exploring the island, head out for a paddle board, relax on the white sandy beaches or snorkelling the beautiful ‘Blue Hole’. Enjoy sunset drinks and a delicious dinner served on board.
Day 3 : Scared Islands
Breakfast is served at your leisure. Relax on board as we set sail towards the spectacular Sacred Islands, believed to be the brithplace of Fijian culture. Spend your afternoon snorkeling aquamarine lagoons. Head to land and explore and uninhabited paradise. Head out for an afternoon fishing or diving. Then enjoy a delicious beach BBQ and sunset drinks.
Day 4 : Nanuya Balavu
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure as we set sail towards Nanuya Balavu. Spend the rest of your day diving on your choice of dive site, discover some of our favourite spots in the Yasawa Islands, surrounded by rich coral reefs, swim with majestic manta rays(seasonal) or relaxing on secluded white sandy beaches, hiking to the top of Nakeke Point where you will be rewarded with breathtaking 360 degree views of the Yasawa Islands. Enjoy sunset drinks and a delicious dinner served on board or BBQ style on your own secluded beach.
Day 5 : Blue Lagoon
Breakfast is served at your leisure. Relax on board as we set sail towards the Blue Lagoon, those wishing to fish en route can go wide on the long boat and try to catch some fish for dinner. Why not head out to snorkel in the world-famous Sawa-i-lau caves, where shards of light penetrate through to crystal clear waters? Or simply relax on the white sand. Enjoy a delicious dinner served on board
Day 6 : Octopus
Breakfast is served at your leisure. Relax on board as we set sail towards the Octopus, spend your afternoon snorkelling crystal clear waters, or head out for an afternoon fishing or diving rish coral reefs, get an adrenaline fix on a biscuit ride, paddleboard over crystal clear waters, or simply relax on board with a good book. Enjoy sunset drinks and a delicious dinner served on board.
Day 7 : Likuliku
Breakfast is served at your leisure. Relax on board as we set sail towards Likuliku, head out on our long boat and try your hand at catching dinner. Or go for a dive or snorkel on the beautiful coral reefs, looking out for the friendly turtles. Paddleboard over the aquamarine lagoon, master wake skating, or simply relax on board. Enjoy a beautifully prepared dinner and sunset drinks onbaord.
Day 8 : Nadi
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure. Relax on board as we set sail back toward Nadi where you will disembark your boat no later than 11:30am.
Scuba Diving and Freediving Courses
Big Blue Fiji offer scubadiving courses with our highly experienced and qualified dive team on our diving liveaboard catamaran. Our instructor has over 10,000 dives in Fiji under his belt, and is an expert at navigating these waters. Not only will you be our sole focus, you will also have the opportunity to learn on some of the world’s most spectacular dive sites.
Big Blue Fiji also offers the only freediving course in the country. Our highly qualified and experienced dive team will teach you the techniques and skills needed to enable you to reach depths of up to 20m on a single breath. Or you can progress from your SSI Level 1 Freediving course with our highly qualified and experienced dive team whilst surrounded by crystal clear waters and rich coral reefs. Our Big Blue Fiji team will teach you the techniques and skills needed to enable you to reach depths of up to 30m on a single breath. Once you have gained the ability to reach 30m, you could have the opportunity to freedive with manta rays or go spearfishing for your dinner that evening.

Fiji
Best time for diving
All year round, depends what you want to see. May to October is the prime diving season in Fiji, During this time, the waters are clear, offering visibility up to 40 meters, and currents are typically mild to strong depending on the dive site. November to April, the wet season, can also provide excellent diving, with warmer waters and the chance to see manta rays, whale sharks.
About temperatures
Air : ranges between 24°C - 30°C year-round, with cooler evenings during the dry season.
Sea : generally stays warm throughout the year, ranging from 24°C - 29°C. August to October is the coolest with 24°C - 26°C.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 mm wetsuit during the wet season and a 5 mm wetsuit for the cooler dry season months.
Diver requirement

Embarkation / Disembarkation
The most common embarkation and disembarkation point for liveaboards in Fiji is Nadi International Airport (NAN) or the port in Lautoka, just a short drive from the airport.
Visa Requirements
Visitors from over 100 countries, including the EU, the US, and Australia, can enter Fiji visa-free for up to 4 months. Be sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date. Details can be found on the Fiji Immigration Department's website.
Vaccinations
No specific vaccinations are required for entry into Fiji. However, it’s recommended to ensure standard vaccinations such as hepatitis A and B, typhoid, and tetanus are up to date. Consult your physician for personalized advice.
Money Matters
The local currency is the Fijian Dollar (FJD). Liveaboards generally accept cash payments in USD or FJD, and major credit cards are often accepted onboard. Currency exchange is available at the airport, banks, and exchange outlets in larger towns.
