Description

Boat

Indo Master is a 47 meters long, 8 meters wide, beautiful Phinisi liveaboat built in Sulawesi with ironwood and teak wood in 2022 and refit again in 2024. It has two Yanmar 400HP main engines and three Mitsubishi 40KW gengerators, offering average cruise speed at 5 - 8 knots.

You will find no other diving liveaboard as beautiful in Indonesian waters and, being built by divers for divers, you can be rest assured that every need has been thought of and addressed.

Indo Master offering 4 decks, all comes with a blend of functionality and relaxation, meticulously designed for your diving holiday needs.

The onboard amenities range from a private indoor camera station lounge to a 360-degree outdoor sundeck. Guests can relaxing in both the bridge lounge, as well as the Front Deck Lounge. The spacious air-conditioned saloon offers a great setting for your meals and dive briefings, a cocktail bar, comfortable seating, a charging station and a large flat-screen LED TV & Karaoke System with Bluetooth Speaker.

Indo Master offer a choice of international and local cuisine, all meals are served in buffet style. In between the meals, there is always some tasty treats for you to pick up. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let our booking agents know, so we can put an note for you.

Indo Master provide Wi-Fi for all guests during the cruise with limited coverage, depends on the location and singals. And in addition, it also offers a range of services to make your stay on the Indo Master even more enjoyable. Nitrox, equipment, and cylinder rental can be pre-booked and pre-paid at the time of booking your liveaboard.

Indo Master euipped with power outlets throught out the decks for your devices, the onboard outlets are 2 pin (Type F) European style with 220v/50hz, please do bring an adaptor if needed.

The dive deck onboard is fantastic! There are personal storage spaces for everyone onboard, 1 dive gear rinse tank + 1 camera rinse tank. There is a large camera table for you to put your cameras. And 2 deck heads plus 2 fresh water shower.

Indo Master also have kayaks for guests who's up to some extra activities!


Cabin

Indo Master has 9 guest cabins, accommodating up to 18 guests per trip:

All cabins have individually controlled air-conditioning units, ensuite bathroom, storage area, charging facilities, and extra towels.

1 Premium Twin / Double Suite (#9):
Located on the lower deck, cabin size : 24sqm, this cabin is a spacious family-sized suite comes with two double beds (160cm x 200cm / 5.2ft x 6.5ft), plenty of storage room, and private en-suite bathrooms (shower and toliet are separated into 2 rooms). It can host up to 4 guests if needed (on request, charter only).

2 Superior Double Suites - with Balcony (#1, 2) :
Located on the upper deck, cabin size : 22sqm, each cabin comes with a king-size double bed (180cm x 200cm / 5.9ft x 6.5ft), and its own private balcony, plenty of storage room, en-suite bathroom, and large seaview windows.

2 Premium Twin Suites (#3, 4) :
Located on the upper deck, cabin size : 18sqm, each cabin comes with 2 single beds side by side (100cm x 200cm / 3.2ft x 6.5ft), a little juliet balcony offer great oceanview, plenty of storage room, en-suite bathroom, and large seaview windows.

2 Classic Double Cabins (#5, 6) :
Located on the lower deck, cabin size : 10sqm, each cabin comes with one double bed (160cm x 200cm / 5.2ft x 6.5ft), plenty of storage room, en-suite bathroom, and port holes.

2 Classic Twin Cabins (#7, 8) :
Located on the lower deck, cabin size : 14sqm, each cabin comes with 2 single beds side by side (100cm x 200cm / 3.2ft x 6.5ft), plenty of storage room, en-suite bathroom, and port holes.


Diving

Itineraries

Komodo National Park - 8D/7N or 11D/10N

Day 1 : We also usually include a sunset visit to Pink Beach on Komodo Island, so-called for its pink-coloured sand. A visit to Horseshoe Bay on the south side of Rinca Island may also be included where we go into the bay in the tenders to see more Komodo dragons on the beach and in the water; it is not permitted to go onto the island as it is a restricted area.

Day 2 : Breakfast followed by a check dive, and up to 3 subsequent dives, as outlined below.

Days 3-6 (7 nights) / Days 3-9 (10 nights) : up to 4 dives per day; 3 day dives and either a sunset or a night dive.

Day 7 / Day 10 : For your last full day on board, we usually schedule 2 morning dives* before the boat cruises back to the harbour, where it will remain at anchor overnight.

Day 8 (7 nights) / Day 11 (10 nights) : After breakfast on board disembarkation is between 08:00 and 10:00.

There are several potential shore excursions which may be included on Komodo itineraries, depending on the trip duration. We organise a guided hike in the National Park where, apart from the famous Komodo dragons, you will also see buffalo, deer and monkeys.

We also usually include a sunset visit to Pink Beach on Komodo Island, so-called for its pink-coloured sand. A visit to Horseshoe Bay on the south side of Rinca Island may also be included where we go into the bay in the tenders to see more Komodo dragons on the beach and in the water; it is not permitted to go onto the island as it is a restricted area.


Raja Ampat - 8D/7N or 11D/10N

Day 1: Embarkation from 12:00-12:30 followed by introductions, boat and safety briefings and dinner. There is no diving scheduled on this day.

Day 2: Breakfast followed by a check dive, and up to 3 subsequent dives, as outlined below.

Days 3-6 (7 nights) / Days 3-9 (10 nights) : up to 4 dives per day; 3 day dives and either a sunset or a night dive.

Day 7 / Day 10 : For your last full day on board, we usually schedule 2 morning dives* before the boat cruises back to Sorong, where it will remain at anchor in the harbour overnight.

Day 8 (7 nights) / Day 11 (10 nights) : Breakfast on board followed by disembarkation and transfer to Sorong Airport not later than 10:00.

There are several potential shore excursions which may be included on Raja Ampat itineraries; Generally, there will be 2 land visits offered on each itinerary; one is the Penemu Viewpoint which is always offered and popular, the other may be one of the following, or an alternative, dependent on itinerary, environmental conditions and logistics.


Banda Sea - 11D/10N

Day 1: Embarkation is followed by introductions and boat and safety briefings. After this, you can assemble your equipment with help from the friendly crew and settle into your cabin before a late afternoon check dive followed by dinner. Overnight cruise to Suanggi.

Day 2: Pulau Suanggi

Days 3-5: Manuk and Serua

Days 6-8: Banda Islands

Day 9: Nusa Laut / Ambon

Day 10: For your last full day on board, we usually schedule 2 morning dives at sites around Ambon before the boat cruises to the harbour, where it will remain at anchor overnight.

Day 11: Breakfast on board followed by disembarkation between 08:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.


The Alor Archipelago - 11D/10N

The 10 night liveaboard scuba diving itinerary takes you on a journey through the Flores Sea between Kalabahi and Maumere incorporating a variety of dive sites along the way including world famous muck sites and diverse reefs, caves and walls of the Pantar Strait, and the Alor Strait between Lembata and Flores Islands. Roughly 50km north of Lembata is Komba Island, also known as Batu Tara which is a small, active volcano with stunning underwater topography. Due to the distances covered on the Alor Archipelago itinerary, land visits depend on cruising times and logistics, as noted above. You will have the opportunity to visit Lativui Village in Alor to watch a traditional dance; If time and logistics permit, a second land visit may be offered along the itinerary route, although this is not guaranteed.


The Spice Islands - 11D/10N

Our Spice Islands liveaboard scuba diving itinerary takes you to some of the world-famous muck diving sites in Ambon Bay and across the Banda Sea following the Spice Trail through the Inner Banda Arc to Alor. Key areas on this route are Ambon, Banda, Nil Desperandum & Serua and the volcanic island, Pulau Manuk, famous for its high population of sea snakes.

Highlights: Amazing macro, a great diversity of sponges in Alor’s pristine reefs, steep walls, incredibly dense leather coral plateaus, lava flows, mandarin fish in Banda Island, and chances of pelagic shark and ray encounters.

Due to the distances covered on The Spice Islands itinerary, land visits are generally only possible when the vessel is in the Banda Islands. You will have the opportunity to visit the nutmeg plantations of the Banda Islands and see the influence of colonialism from the days of the Dutch settlers and traders.


Triton Bay and Raja Ampat - 13D/12N

The 12 night Triton Bay & Raja Ampat liveaboard scuba diving itinerary aboard Indo Siren offers up to 36 dives through the Ceram and Arafura Seas including some of the best dive locations of North and South Raja Ampat and around the Triton Bay area.

Land visits: There are usually 2 land visits included on the Triton Bay & Raja Ampat itinerary, one of which is Penemu View Point in Raja Ampat. Depending on weather conditions and logistics, the other may be one of the following: Sanggala Bay Waterfall, Mauwera Lagoon, Tomolol Caves (Misool), Lenmakana jellyfish lake (Misool).


Raja Ampat, Halmahera & Lembeh - 13D/12N

In addition to some of the best dive sites of North Raja Ampat and the Dampier Strait, the Raja Ampat, Halmahera & Lembeh liveaboard diving itinerary includes rarely visited pristine reefs, wall drift dives and unexpected pelagic encounters in warm, crystal clear blue waters across the Halmahera and Molucca Seas. Other highlights include black sand dives, magnificent critters, large numbers of schooling fish, and big schools of barracudas.

Due to the distances covered between Raja Ampat and Lembeh, land visits depend on cruising times and logistics, as noted above. Generally, there will be 2 land visits offered on each itinerary, one of which is Raja Ampat's iconic Penemu Viewpoint which is always popular. The second land tour will usually be Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve in North Sulawesi, where Tarsiers, Macaques and Cuscus can be observed in their natural habitats.

Useful information

Alor

Best time for diving
April to November, as this is when both visibility and weather are at their best, while September is the best time to spot Mola Mola. The currents usually are strongest in October and November, making conditions more challenging. From late December until early March, Alor is usually considered as off-season due to the rainy season.

About temperatures
Air : winter months are between 26°C - 29°C, summer months are between 27°C - 32°C.
Sea : between 25°C - 27°C from March to April & October to November, between 27°C - 30°C from May to September. Thermoclines are common year round, the water can drop at times to 22°C or lower.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 5 mm full wetsuit. If you get cold easily, we recommend also bring gloves and a hood, or even a 7 mm full wetsuit.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels of diver from beginners to experienced. However, in the open blue, the current can be strong at times, so divers should to be comfortable with their skills. Embarkation / Disembarkation
Alor liveaboard trips are usually from Maumere to Maumere, guests need to fly to Maumere airport (MOF).
However, some liveaboards often combine Alor with other destinations like Komodo, Banda Sea, Raja Ampat. Then you might only need to arrive or depart from Maumere.

Komodo

Best time for diving
May to October, the weather in Komodo is at its best between April and November. During the wet season (December to March) the weather can get a bit windy, with heavy quick rains, sometimes can cause rough surface conditions. However, liveaboards run trips here year-round.

The visibility in the North is excellent at 30 meters or even more, while it ranges between 10-15 meters in the South.
Some dive sites can have significant currents, whirlpools and see downdrafts. Sea conditions might change very quickly. Other dive sites are more quiet and rich in macro, especially in the South.

About temperatures
Air : range between 23°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : in the North Komodo it can be around 26°C -29°C, while it gets colder towards the south where it can drop down to 22° C.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 - 5 mm full wetsuit throughout the year for Komodo area.

Diver requirement
Intermediate to Advanced level, A good level in diving and some experience in drift diving are recommended to participate to Komodo cruise.

Unless the trip is from Bali - Komodo, then the embarkation can be in Bali (DPS).

Triton Bay

Best time for diving
November to April, most liveaboards visit Triton Bay during the Raja Ampat diving season, as from June the winds and rain can cause unpleasant sea conditions. However, rain is possible in West Papua anytime, not just in rainy season.

Some sites are subject to strong currents here, and the visibility in Triton Bay might change abruptly. Rarely exceeding 20 meters, it can lower to less than 10 meters, especially after a lot of raining in Triton Bay. Most of diving is shallow dives, no more than 35 meters.

About temperatures
Air : generally ranges between 25°C - 31°C year-round.
Sea : averaging around 26°C - 27°C from May to October, 29°C - 30°C from November to April.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 mm full wetsuit for November to April, a 5 mm full wetsuit for May to October.

Diver requirement

Embarkation / Disembarkation
The nearby airport is Kaimana airport (KNG) in West Papua. However, live­aboards may utilize different ports depends on the itinerary, as often live­aboard trips will combine Triton Bay with other destinations like Raja Ampat, Banda Sea, so please ask our agent to know the exact port for your trip.

Banda Sea

Best time for diving
October to November & March to April, the seas are generally calmer during these months and in October to November there is higher chance to see hammerhead sharks. From May to August the surface conditions can get quite rough.

The visibility is generally good to excellent in Banda Sea areas, except in Ambon bay and in other bays for critter dives. Currents are low to moderate on most of the sites, however, strong currents may occur at times.

About temperatures
Air : range between 25°C - 31°C year-round.
Sea : range between 26°C - 29°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 - 5 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement

Raja Ampat

Best time for diving
Mid October to April, the wind then picks up in May until the end of August, causing rougher seas and this means Misool area in the south will be shut from June to September. From July until September the diving in the north still can be enjoyable. The visibility can vary from 10 - 30 meters, current can be from mild to strong at times.

About temperatures
Air : fairly constant between 25°C - 31°C year-round.
Sea : it is warm all year round, about 27°C - 31°C

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement

Embarkation / Disembarkation
Most of the embarkation / disembarkation will be in Sorong (SOQ).
Few liveaboards also departs from Waisai (RJM).
The easiest to fly through to & from Sorong (SOQ) via Jakarta (CGK), Makassar (UPG), Bali (DPS), or Manado (MDC).

Halmahera

Best time for diving
October to November and March to May, Halmahera can be dived all year round, but due to the monsoon season, from June to September it can be windy and the sea can be rough. And from December to February is considered as the rainy season.

Visibility is usually very good, ranging from 20-30 meters, Inside the bays the visibility may be less. Currents can be strong in the straits, weak in the areas protected by the islands.

Sea : it is warm all year round, about 27°C - 31°C

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement

Depending on which itinerary you choose, the embarkation / disembarkation can be in Bitung > Manado (MDC), Ternate (TTE), Bacan (LAH/WUB), or Morotai (OTI). The international airport with the best connections is Jakarta (CGK). You can also route through Bali (DPS) if you prefer.

However, some live­aboard trips will combine Halmahera with other destinations like Sulawesi (Lembeh), Raja Ampat, then the embarkation and disembarkation will be different. So please ask our agent to know the exact port for your trip.

Visa Requirements
Indonesia offers a free visa on arrival service for many nationalities which allows visitors to stay in the country for up to 30 days. A list of countries that are eligible for visa on arrival can be found on the Indonesian Government's Directorate General of Immigration.

Please note: Immigration officials in Indonesia may ask for proof of onward travel (e.g. a return or onward air ticket).

Vaccinations
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers over the age of 9 months arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.

Money Matters
The local currency is Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), all liveaboards accept cash payments in USD.
Rupiah can be purchased from all major banks and exchange outlets. Credit and debit cards are also accepted in major hotels, restaurants & shops.

Drones
There are very few restrictions on the use of drones for photography purposes within Indonesia. Please check Drone laws in Indonesia for details.

Sulawesi

Best time for diving
April to October, with peak season being July and August - it's also the best time to spot whales and dolphins (however, in the peak season, it's usually gonna be super busy, so you need to book your space long ahead). The diving can still be great in late March, November and early December, but the rain are generally a daily occurrence in these months, then the rainiest months will be between January and February but still can have good dives if you don't mind the rain.

The visibility range between 20 - 40 meters, currents are different from one location to another, some have minimal-to-no current, while some other sites can experience strong currents that attract big pelagic fish.

About temperatures
Air : range between 23°C to 32°C throughout the year.
Sea : between 26°C - 29°C, with the Lembeh Strait can be as low as 25°C/26°C during the summer (July/August).

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 - 5 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
