Itineraries

Lucky Marine operates throughout Thailand's Andaman Sea during the diving season, offering carefully planned liveaboard cruises that combine the country's most celebrated dive sites with comfortable cruising and efficient dive operations. Most departures focus on the legendary North Andaman itinerary, while selected departures at the beginning and end of the season explore the spectacular reefs of Koh Lipe and the Southern Andaman.

From dramatic granite pinnacles to colourful coral gardens and world-famous whale shark habitats, every itinerary has been designed to showcase the remarkable diversity of Thailand's underwater world while allowing divers to enjoy multiple dives each day in some of Southeast Asia's finest marine parks.

Similan Islands

The Similan Islands National Marine Park forms the heart of every North Andaman cruise aboard Lucky Marine. Internationally recognised as Thailand's premier diving destination, the islands are famous for crystal-clear water, spectacular granite boulder formations and healthy coral reefs supporting an incredible diversity of marine life.

Typical dive sites include Honeymoon Bay, Elephant Head Rock, Turtle Rock, Three Trees and Christmas Point, each offering completely different underwater landscapes. Massive granite formations create impressive swim-throughs and caverns, while colourful reefs provide shelter for turtles, octopus, moray eels, Napoleon wrasse, reef sharks and countless tropical reef fish.

Whether you are exploring shallow coral gardens or drifting along deeper granite ridges, every dive presents a different perspective of one of Thailand's most beautiful national parks.

Koh Bon

Located north of the Similan Islands, Koh Bon introduces divers to deeper walls, stronger currents and exciting pelagic encounters. The island is particularly well known for its western ridge and famous manta ray cleaning station, making it one of the highlights of the North Andaman route during the appropriate season.

Large schools of fusiliers, snappers and surgeonfish fill the reef while giant trevallies patrol the blue water. Divers often keep one eye on the reef and the other on the open ocean, hoping for unforgettable encounters with manta rays cruising effortlessly above the reef.

Koh Tachai Pinnacle

Koh Tachai Pinnacle is regarded by many experienced divers as one of Thailand's finest offshore dive sites. Rising from deep water, the submerged pinnacle attracts enormous schools of barracuda, giant trevallies, rainbow runners and tuna, creating fast-moving scenes full of marine life.

Current conditions vary throughout the season, making every dive slightly different. Reef sharks are common visitors and, during the right months, lucky divers may encounter both manta rays and whale sharks passing through the nutrient-rich waters surrounding the pinnacle.

Richelieu Rock

No North Andaman liveaboard would be complete without several dives at the legendary Richelieu Rock. Rising from the seabed as an isolated horseshoe-shaped pinnacle, this world-famous dive site offers one of the richest concentrations of marine biodiversity anywhere in Thailand.

Its colourful soft corals provide the perfect habitat for schools of glassfish, snapper and fusiliers, while photographers search carefully for frogfish, ghost pipefish, harlequin shrimp, seahorses and dozens of nudibranch species hidden among the reef.

Richelieu Rock is also considered Thailand's premier whale shark location. Although sightings can never be guaranteed, the possibility of meeting these gentle giants is one of the reasons divers return here year after year.

Koh Lipe & Southern Andaman

Outside the North Andaman season, Lucky Marine operates selected cruises towards Koh Lipe and Thailand's Southern Andaman region. These itineraries explore remote reefs, colourful coral gardens and limestone islands that remain far less visited than the Similan Islands.

Healthy coral formations, impressive visibility and abundant tropical marine life make this region particularly attractive for divers seeking quieter dive sites while still enjoying the comfort and service of a liveaboard experience.

Depending on the itinerary, divers may encounter turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays, schools of barracuda and vibrant coral ecosystems that make Southern Thailand one of Southeast Asia's hidden diving treasures.

A Typical Diving Day

A normal day aboard Lucky Marine begins before sunrise with a light breakfast followed by the first dive of the day. After returning on board, guests enjoy a full breakfast while cruising towards the next dive site.

Two additional daytime dives are usually scheduled before the afternoon, followed by refreshments and time to relax on deck while the boat moves to the next location. When conditions permit, the day concludes with an exciting night dive before dinner is served under the stars.

With up to four dives each day, carefully selected dive sites and an experienced dive team coordinating every operation, Lucky Marine offers an enjoyable liveaboard experience suitable for both newly certified divers and seasoned underwater explorers wishing to discover the very best of Thailand's Andaman Sea.
