Boat

Lonestar is a 26 meters long, 11 meters wide high class luxury catamaran, custom built by DRA in France, with an average cruising speed at 10 - 15 knots. It is elegant and refined, made for cruising with friends and family, an exceptional sailing vessel that ensures ultimate charter experience and complete privacy.

Lonestar went through a complete refit in 2019. It offers a profusion of space inside and outside, where you can enjoy 300 m2 deck space. The perfect blend of luxury, comfort and space.

Outside, is a large cockpit with an alfresco dining and seating area where guests can relax and simply enjoy sumptuous outdoor living holiday and marvelous culinary experience.

Guests can enjoy over 300 m2 of uncluttered deck space. The decks are scattered with over-stuffed sun cushions so guests can relax under the shade of the bimini, or in the warm tropical sun on the foredeck!

Lonestar has a wonderful chef who will surprise you with an imaginative cuisine.

Onboard, you will find : Big screen for movies with surround sound, CD/stereo/DVD, CD/video/readin library, Board games, Wake Board & Water skis, 2 stand up paddles, 4 kayaks, Snorkel gear, Fishing gear...and much much more.

Lonestar is an ideal means of living in communion with the sea while fully enjoying luxury and comfort of an exceptional vessel. It is fully equipped with a whole host of entertainment facilities and water toys.


Cabin

Lonestar has 6 comfortable guest cabins, accommodating up to 12 divers:

All cabins are equipped with air-conditioner, private en-suite bathroom, seating area, hair dryers, make-up mirrors.

2 Twin Cabins:
Located on the main deck, each comes with two single beds in "L" shape bunk style, portholes.

4 Double Cabins:
Located on the main deck, each comes with one double bed, and an extra little single bed


Diving

  • Scuba diving is possible but not inclusive.

  • No dive provided on the day of arrival and departure.

  • Depending on the route, usually 2 dives can be offered.

  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

  • Free use of kayak, towing buoy, wakeboard, standing paddle, waterski, snorkeling gear and fishing gear.

Useful information

Seychelles

Best time for diving
April & May, October to December as during these months the weather condition is at the best, and the underwater visibility is also better than other months.
December to February are the rainy months but you can still enjoy some good dives, it's a year round destination.

About temperatures
Air : range between 24°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : range from 25°C - 30°C year-round, with June & July being the coolest months.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 5 mm full wetsuit for June and July, then 3 mm wetsuit for the rest of the year. As thermoclines do happen from time to time.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels, but to enjoy the best out of it, we recommend an AOW level with 30 dives. Drift diving is common due to the stronger currents that occur in the southern islands. You can find out more information about diving in Seychelles here : Seychelles

Embarkation / Disembarkation
The embarkation / disembarkation for Seychelles will be in Mahé, guests need to fly in/out to Seychelles International Airport (SEZ).

Visa Requirements
Seychelles is a visa-free country which means that there are no visa requirements for any persons wishing to travel.
Please refer to Republic of Seychelles - Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism for details.

Vaccinations
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers over the age of 9 months arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.

Money Matters
The local currency is the Seychellois Rupee (SCR), all liveaboards accept cash payments in EUR or USD. Most hotel and tourist services accept euros and credit cards. ATMs only dispense SCR. You may not find ATMs beyond the major tourist areas of Mahé, Praslin or La Digue.

Drones
Drones can be brought into the Seychelles with pre-registration. To apply for registration please visit Drone Registration, it's free of charge.

Madagascar

Best time for diving
April to December is generally the best period for diving in Madagascar, with calmer seas and good visibility. January to March is the rainy season and cyclones are possible, which can affect diving conditions. Visibility ranges from 10–30 meters, with mild to moderate currents depending on the region. If you want to see large pelagics such as whale sharks or manta rays, the months of September to November are ideal.

About temperatures
Air: generally ranges between 25°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea: varies from 24°C in the south to 29°C in the north.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 mm wetsuit for most of the year. In cooler southern regions or during the austral winter (June–August), a 5 mm wetsuit may be more comfortable.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels, though some dive sites with stronger currents may require advanced experience. Madagascar offers incredible biodiversity, including coral reefs, macro life, and large pelagics. You can find out more information about diving in this area here: Madagascar

Embarkation / Disembarkation
Popular liveaboard embarkation points include Nosy Be (NSB) in the northwest and Toliara (TLE) in the southwest. Longer trips may combine multiple regions, so ports of embarkation/disembarkation can vary — please ask our agent for details for your specific itinerary.

Visa Requirements
Many nationalities can obtain E-visa for stays up to 30 days. Check the Madagascar Directorate of Immigration for updated information. Proof of onward travel may be required.

Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are recommended. Yellow fever vaccination is required if arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission. Malaria prophylaxis is recommended for most regions.

Money Matters
The local currency is the Malagasy Ariary (MGA). Liveaboards usually accept cash in USD or EUR. ATMs are available in major towns, but cash is limited in remote areas. Credit cards are accepted in larger hotels and resorts.

Lonestar operates across Seychelles, Madagascar. Expect schooling pelagics, reef sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, vibrant coral walls and macro critters. Seasonal highlights shift by month and region - check the destination page for the current conditions.
Nitrox is available on Lonestar for an additional charge. Larger 15L tanks, rebreather support and tech diving can be arranged on request. Notify our dive team at the time of booking so we can confirm availability and add the surcharge.
Most Seychelles, Madagascar liveaboard trips connect via a regional hub. We recommend arriving 1 day before embarkation to recover from travel and to clear any park or transit fees. Airport transfers are included in the trip price.
