Description
Boat
Mola Mola 01 was built in 2018, and renovated in 2023. It is a 32.5 meters long, 8 meters wide traditional wooden Phinisi boat, with crusing speed at 6 - 7 knots, it offers all the comforts as a floating hotel.
Mola Mola 01 has a large salon with separate dining and relaxing sections on the main deck, with large flat screen TV/DVD with home cinema, offering enough space during mealtimes, as well as for chilling out over a chat and drinks with fellow divers, with a book in your hands, or working on your laptop.
Outside the salon, there is the dive platform which located at the backboard side of the vessel. The dive stations is divided into two separate sections,the wet section features personal dive baskets, two large rinsing tanks, filling station and storage for dive tanks. The dry section features large desktop area as work space, as well as to store sensitive (and often bulky) equipment when not in use, large number of power sockets.
Mola Mola 01 of course has an additional large outdoor lounge area with lounge beds for relaxation located on the upper deck. Provide enough space and privacy, and can be fully shielded from the sun.
Mola Mola 01 serves delicious international and traditional cuisine cooked fresh every day with locally sourced ingredients. There are cooffe, tea and water with snacks available all day for guests.
Mola Mola 01 is equipped with an individual camera room, perfect for storing and maintaining your underwater camera gear. you can store and drying your equipment, so you can keep your camera in top condition.
Cabin
Mola Mola 01 has 8 comfortable guest cabins, accommodating up to 16 divers:

Located on the upper deck, each comes with two single beds side by side, lots of seaviwe windows.

Itineraries
Raja Ampat 12D/11N
Day 1 : Arrival SOQ (Sorong) 06:30am – 09:00am sail to Matan Island for check dive -/+ 2 hours, then sail to Misool Island.
Day 2 – 5 : Misool, 14 Dives. Misool is in the south of Raja Ampat and we will dive at the many small islands in the southeast (Boo Island, Fiabacet Island, Yuliet Island and Farondi Island or Jelly fish lake) to see the great colorful soft coral, beautilful reef and all the gorgeous Marine life then sail to Penemu Island in the night.
Day 6 : Penemu Island is full activity 2 – 3 dives/snorkeling. Trekking to Pianemo in the afternoon. During the trip to Pianemo, it is like infinite endless blue ocean. Several times we could see silhouette green hilly island, virgin forests, and birds swooping fly doing fish hunt. After trekking we continue to sail to Wayag for -/+ 15 hours.
Day 7 : Wayag, 1 – 2 dives/snorkeling. After morning dive continue exploring Wayag by Sekoci then to afternoon trekking. Sailing back to TanjungPutus/ Yanggefo (Gam island) -/+ 14 hours.
Day 8 : Yanggefo, do 2 morning dives/snorkeling then move to Arborek Island -/+ 1 hour continue dive/snorkeling in Arborek jetty and Manta Sandy.
Day 9 – 10 : Mioskon and Mansyur. 4 dives/snorkeling in a day. Divers might see Schools of Yellow Snapper, Napoleon Wrasse, big groupers and many Wobbegong sharks can be found in Mioskon. Pigmy seahorses, different species of nudibranch can be seen as well. Being relatively shallow it makes for a good snorkel too.
Day 11 : Cape Kri /Mansuar Island. 2 dives/snorkeling in the morning. Visiting PasirTimbul depends on high and low tide. Sail back to sorong 1/+ 9 hours.
Day 12 : Mina Harbour, Sorong. 9am; check out after breakfast, farewells, and transfer to Sorong airport. Many thanks and see you again in another destination.
Banda Sea 8D/7N
Day 1. (2 Dives) Arrive in Ambon, embarking from Tulehu port in Ambon. Check dive in Batu Kosong
Day 2. (2-3 Dives) Dive around Suanggi island, good reef and many variety marine life such as schooling of snapper-fusiliers, white tip reef shark, trevallies.
Day 3 (3-4 Dives) Run & Ai Island Ai Island is an isolated low lying island to the west of Banda Neira. It has some small limestone cliffs on its southern coastline and some pretty beaches on its northern shores. Due to its isolation, walls and deep waters, when the current is running, Pulau Ai is one of the top dive sites in the Banda Islands for shark encounters also for Run Island offer outstanding reef and large amounts of fish.
Day 4 (3-4 Dives) Manuk Island Manuk is located in south Banda – The Island is unique throughout the world due to its incredibly large population of sea snakes. Most commonly the often seen banded sea krait and the more rare Chinese sea snake in colours of brown and green.
Day 5 (3-4 Dives) Hatta Island Only 2 morning dive of the trip on Hatta Island and BatuKapal that such an interesting dive sites, the chance to see big pelagic. Schooling Trevally, Barracuda, Tuna, White and Black-tip Sharks are around on Hatta Island.
Day 6 (2-3 Dives) Banda Neira Batu Kapal, Lahar and visiting the historic site of Banda Neira island, museum and Belgica fort.
Day 7 (1-2 Dives) Nusa Laut island offer some stunning hard coral seascapes with many variety and has the finest white sand beach anywhere in the lease islands.
Day 8 (0 Dives) Disembark in Ambon port. 9am check out after breakfast, farewells, and transfer to Patimura airport of Ambon. Many thanks and see you again in another destination.
Komodo
Day 1. (1‐2 dives) 8am‐10am Arrive Labuan Bajo, Welcome & Briefing, Prepare for check dive at Pulau Sabayor Mini Wall, followed by sunset or night dive.
Day 2. (4 dives) North Komodo (GiliLawaLaut Island); Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, Lighthouse, optional night dive. These dive sites has wide variety of healthy corals covering the reef, plus tons of fish – both big and small and eagle ray, giant trevally as well as white/black tips and grey reef sharks in between!
Day 3. (4 dives) North Komodo (Channel); BatuBolong, TatawaBesar, Tatawa Kecil and Batu Tengah. These dive sites covered in a huge amount of soft and hard corals and full of fish life, such as Giant trevally, white tip reef sharks, snappers and emperor fish tend to congregate on BatuBolong and swim past coral heads inhabited by schools of sweetlips and batfish and look out for turtles feeding on the reef on TatawaBesar, Mantas have been encountered here as well and so many more.
Day 4. (4 dives) South Komodo, Padar Island; stunning and diverse dive sites such as 3 Sisters and Pillarsteen. Pillarsteen is a rock pinnacle located off of the southeastern tip of the small island of Padar which is located between Komodo and Rinca islands.
Day 5. (4 Dives) Central Komodo. This white sand muck dive is around the corner from Pink Beach situated inside Loh Liang Bay on Komodo Island. Search for all sorts of critters here – bobtail squid, flamboyant cuttlefish, frogfish, nudibranchs, Ambon scorpion fish, cockatoo waspfish and large moray eels living in the shallow rocks.
Day6. (Trekking + 1 Dive)The fourth day will begin with Trekking to visit Komodo National Park where you will be able to take a stroll with the famous dragon in Rinca Island, LohBuaya. After the walk we move to Wainilu dive site for 1 dive and sailing back to Labuan Bajo.
Day 7 9am; check out after breakfast, farewells, and transfer to Labuan Bajo airport. Many thanks and see you again in another destination.

Useful information
Alor
Best time for diving
April to November, as this is when both visibility and weather are at their best, while September is the best time to spot Mola Mola. The currents usually are strongest in October and November, making conditions more challenging. From late December until early March, Alor is usually considered as off-season due to the rainy season.
About temperatures
Air : winter months are between 26°C - 29°C, summer months are between 27°C - 32°C.
Sea : between 25°C - 27°C from March to April & October to November, between 27°C - 30°C from May to September. Thermoclines are common year round, the water can drop at times to 22°C or lower.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 5 mm full wetsuit. If you get cold easily, we recommend also bring gloves and a hood, or even a 7 mm full wetsuit.
Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels of diver from beginners to experienced. However, in the open blue, the current can be strong at times, so divers should to be comfortable with their skills. While the muck dive sites only have little current. You can find out more information about diving in Alor here : Alor
Embarkation / Disembarkation
Alor liveaboard trips are usually from Maumere to Maumere, guests need to fly to Maumere airport (MOF).
However, some liveaboards often combine Alor with other destinations like Komodo, Banda Sea, Raja Ampat. Then you might only need to arrive or depart from Maumere.

Komodo
Best time for diving
May to October, the weather in Komodo is at its best between April and November. During the wet season (December to March) the weather can get a bit windy, with heavy quick rains, sometimes can cause rough surface conditions. However, liveaboards run trips here year-round.
The visibility in the North is excellent at 30 meters or even more, while it ranges between 10-15 meters in the South.
Some dive sites can have significant currents, whirlpools and see downdrafts. Sea conditions might change very quickly. Other dive sites are more quiet and rich in macro, especially in the South.
About temperatures
Air : range between 23°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : in the North Komodo it can be around 26°C -29°C, while it gets colder towards the south where it can drop down to 22° C.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 - 5 mm full wetsuit throughout the year for Komodo area.
Diver requirement
Intermediate to Advanced level, A good level in diving and some experience in drift diving are recommended to participate to Komodo cruise.

Most of the embarkation / disembarkation will be in Labuan Bajo (LBJ).
Unless the trip is from Bali - Komodo, then the embarkation can be in Bali (DPS).

Banda Sea
Best time for diving
October to November & March to April, the seas are generally calmer during these months and in October to November there is higher chance to see hammerhead sharks. From May to August the surface conditions can get quite rough.
The visibility is generally good to excellent in Banda Sea areas, except in Ambon bay and in other bays for critter dives. Currents are low to moderate on most of the sites, however, strong currents may occur at times.

Air : range between 25°C - 31°C year-round.
Sea : range between 26°C - 29°C year-round.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 - 5 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.

Raja Ampat
Best time for diving
Mid October to April, the wind then picks up in May until the end of August, causing rougher seas and this means Misool area in the south will be shut from June to September. From July until September the diving in the north still can be enjoyable. The visibility can vary from 10 - 30 meters, current can be from mild to strong at times.
About temperatures
Air : fairly constant between 25°C - 31°C year-round.
Sea : it is warm all year round, about 27°C - 31°C
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.

Halmahera
Best time for diving
October to November and March to May, Halmahera can be dived all year round, but due to the monsoon season, from June to September it can be windy and the sea can be rough. And from December to February is considered as the rainy season.
Visibility is usually very good, ranging from 20-30 meters, Inside the bays the visibility may be less. Currents can be strong in the straits, weak in the areas protected by the islands.

Sea : it is warm all year round, about 27°C - 31°C
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.

Depending on which itinerary you choose, the embarkation / disembarkation can be in Bitung > Manado (MDC), Ternate (TTE), Bacan (LAH/WUB), or Morotai (OTI). The international airport with the best connections is Jakarta (CGK). You can also route through Bali (DPS) if you prefer.
However, some liveaboard trips will combine Halmahera with other destinations like Sulawesi (Lembeh), Raja Ampat, then the embarkation and disembarkation will be different. So please ask our agent to know the exact port for your trip.
