EXTREME SOUTH Huvadhoo Atoll AND FUVAHMULAH

Gaafu Alifu Atoll (Huvadhoo North Atoll) - Fuvahmulah Atoll

Suvadiva atoll (Huvadhoo Atoll) is the largest and deepest in the Maldives, reaching up to -80 meters, it is located in the extreme south of the Maldives, not far from the equator, here you can rediscover the charm of the Maldives of many years ago: uninhabited islets of breathtaking beauty, fishing villages and virgin reefs where no other tourists are seen. The depths are real coral gardens visible even in very shallow water for snorkeling, in the period from January to March it offers excellent diving conditions, with clear water.

The dives take place, almost all, in the ocean passes or along the corners of the pass, where the currents attract the large pelagics. You will be able to swim alongside dozens of gray and white tip sharks and, sometimes, hammer, fox or tiger sharks. Encounters with stingrays, eagles, turtles, dolphins and lots of reef fish are common. Direction south we find the atoll of Fuvahmulah, it is a huge mountain that emerges from over 2000 meters deep. There is nothing around, everything is far away. It is the kingdom of the great sharks that, here, dominate unchallenged. In Fuvahmulah Atoll it is possible to dive with the big tigers that come up from the deep waters. On the outer plateau, schools of hammerheads, gray sharks, thresher and silky sharks live, it is also possible to meet the great whale sharks, diving suitable for those who are fond of big fish.

NORTHERN ATOLLS ITINERARY (2 week cruise)

North Male Atoll, Lhaviyani Atoll, Noonu Atoll, Shaviyani Atoll, Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Raa Atoll, Baa Atoll, Goidhu Atoll, Rash Atoll, North Ari Atoll

This itinerary, starting from the most famous and famous areas of the Maldives, arrives at those still almost unknown and unexplored. In the northern atolls the environment is very different from the usual Maldivian one we are used to. The islands become larger, the reefs are deeper and have a conformation that slopes gently towards the ocean. There are many deserted islands and beautiful sandbanks.

The virgin reefs where it is difficult to meet tourists are fantastic and rich in coral. Ideal for those who want to practice snorkeling and underwater photography. The dives take place from the pass, thille (shoal), wrecks, walls in the internal atolls and oceanic walls, gray sharks, white tip, nurse, easy encounters with manta rays, encounters with rays, eagles, turtles, dolphins and lots of reef fish. Night dives in these reefs are spectacular, the night underwater panorama rich in colors and a great variety of animal species not visible in day dives.

The diving team made up of expert Italian instructors and integrated by the local Maldivian crew will welcome you making every day of your stay on board an unforgettable experience and holiday in respect of nature.
