Trip Highlights
Apo Reef
Apo reef marine national park is one of the crown jewels of Philippine, diving. Situated on the western part of Occidental Mindoro. Apo reef boasts not only crystal clear water up to 30m but also the bio diversity of the reefs, she is home to about 450 species of coral and 300 species of fish, to name a few of our favorite sightings are schooling barracuda, giant trevally, jackfish, manta rays, eagle rays, marble ray, hammerhead sharks, grey reef sharks, octopus, nudibranchs seahorse and a colorful coral gardens in short you get the best of both worlds pelagic and macro when you dive Apo reef. If you are looking for memories in diving to last you a lifetime, let us Agos “current” take you to the second largest atoll like reef in the world.
Nanshin Maru (Black Island)
Depth 20-34 meters, visibility 10-20 meters. Also known as the black Island wreck, this wreck offers some of the best visibility of all of the Coron wrecks. A Japanese Auxiliary ship, offering a wide variety of sea life with a sandy bottom which offers a home to the blue spotted stingray and other sand dwelling creatures. It is one of our favorite night diving locations due to a beautiful beach and cave system to enjoy the afternoon and glorious macro diving at night with a good chance to see octopus.
Morazan Maru
Depth 12-28 Meters, visibility variable (3-15 meters). Formally known as the Olympia Maru, it wasn’t until 2006 that these two ships were properly identified. This ship has laid to rest on the starboard side. It offers large penetrations for our advanced open water divers and a plethora of light coming into the engine room from a large salvage hole. This is the quintessential wreck dive in Coron, its shallow depth makes it accessible for even open water divers to appreciate but not penetrate. For advance and above the swallow depth really allows you to explore the whole ship. Also the shallow depth allows for the growth of massive leaf coral on the port side to allow for our favorite little friends the juvenile sweet-lips to do their funny dance in safety.
Olympia Maru
Depth 18-30 meters, visibility variable(3-15 meters). Originally called the Tangat wreck, this wreck is situated almost perfectly level on the seafloor. Schools of fish love to school on both the bow and stern of the ship with exciting macro throughout the ship including seahorses and pipe-fish. There are several penetrations about the ship for our adventurous friends. Also some history to be seen with oil barrels and bricks from when this ship met its demise in September 24th 1944

Wetsuit Recommendation
A 3 mm wetsuit is recommended year-round. Some divers may prefer a shorty during the warmer months.
