Description

Boat

Carpe Diem is a beautifully maintained 35 m (115 ft) motor safari yacht built with classic wooden construction and modern upgrades, refitted recently to enhance performance and guest comfort. The vessel measures 35 m in length with a 10 m beam and houses all the essential facilities for a premium liveaboard safari.

Carpe Diem This yacht features multiple inviting social areas, including a spacious air-conditioned lounge and dining salon, indoor and outdoor seating areas, and a generous sun deck with loungers — perfect for relaxing between dives or enjoying panoramic ocean views.

Meals are served buffet-style with a blend of international and local Maldivian cuisine, fresh fruit, snacks, coffee and tea throughout the day. Guests can request special dietary needs in advance so the onboard chef can prepare accordingly. Alcoholic beverages, beach BBQs and other drink options are available at an extra cost.

Carpe Diem further stand out is the service provided by a dedicated crew, some of which have been with the company for a many years. Clients that have come back described it as “coming home”.

Diving operations are supported by a dedicated dive dhoni and a small tender, ensuring smooth transfers to dive sites and plenty of space on the dive deck for gearing up and camera prep. Dive facilities include freshwater showers, equipment rinse stations, and a well-organised dive area.


Cabin

Carpe Diem has 10 comfortable guest cabins, accommodating up to 20 guests per cruise :

All cabins are equipped with private bathrooms, individually controlled air-conditioning, storage, and TV screens connected to a central media system:

1 Suite Cabin :
Located on the upper deck, with over 20sqm in size, has a king size bed (convertible to twins), an ample closet plus storage space, with 5 seaview windows.

1 Deluxe Cabin :
Located opposite the suite on the upper deck, with a queen size double bed, and 3 seaview windows.

2 Standard Plus Cabins :
Located on the main deck, which are a little smaller than the deluxe cabin on the upper deck and standard cabins on the lower deck. Each cabin comes with a double bed, and 2 seaview windows

2 Bunk Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single beds in bunk style, portholes.

4 Standard Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with with queen beds convertible to twins, portholes.


Diving

Day 1: Check-In at 12:30, free pick up from Male airport.

Day 2 - 6 or Day 2 - 9: 3 dives per day, 7 Night trip includes 1 night dive and beach BBQ. 10 Night Trip includes 2 Nights dives and beach BBQ.

Central Maldives

Best time for diving
December to April, Central Maldives is suitable for diving year-round, these months are the Northeast dry season, and it's the time for best visibility and weather condition.
The visibility range between 20 - 40 meters year-round. And the currents are usually mild to intermediate. Diving depth range from 10 - 40 meters.

About temperatures
Air : range between 27°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : very stable and warm, range from 28°C - 30°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels, but to enjoy the best out of it, we recommend an AOW level with 30 dives.

North Maldives

Best time for diving
June to November, North Maldives offers great diving all year, especially in the Far North Atolls, you can expect sunny skies most of the year. And in Hanifaru Bay, each year during June to November is the famous cyclone feeding, which is a rare and spectacular event where over 100 manta rays can feed together and create a chain which the head of each manta ray touches the tail of the manta in front. This creates a huge spiral of up to 200 mantas along with their fellow plankton feeders the Whale Shark.

Air : range between 27°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : very stable and warm, range from 27°C - 29°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement

December to April offers the best visibility and sea conditions. Although short spells of heavy rainfall can be experienced during the summer months, but this region do offer good diving all year round.

Sea : very stable and warm, range from 27°C - 29°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
Suitable for divers have AOW level with good drift diving experience, as there can be strong currents in the channels surrounding the islands.
