Description

Boat

Iruvai is a beautifully crafted Maldives liveaboard known for its authentic Maldivian design and warm onboard atmosphere. Measures 30 meters in length, originally constructed in 2004 and underwent a complete renovation in 2024, updating both its interior design and mechanical systems.

Iruvai using saltwater-resistant local hardwood and reinforced with fiberglass, this three-deck vessel spans approximately 30 m in length with a 8 m beam, combining strong construction with smooth cruising.

Iruvai's engine is a reliable Yanmar Diesel 500 HP, giving a comfortable cruising speed of around 11 knots and a maximum of about 12 knots, perfect for exploring the atolls of the Maldives.

Iruvai spans three decks and includes ten guest cabins distributed between the lower and upper decks. The main deck offers both indoor and outdoor dining spaces, along with a lounge and bar area. The top sundeck is equipped with sunbeds and a jacuzzi, offering guests a place to relax while enjoying panoramic ocean views.

Onboard cuisine reflects a mix of Western and Asian flavours, with thoughtfully prepared meals and all-day snacks. Food and beverage offerings aim to suit a variety of tastes, including vegetarian options, and welcome cocktails are served at embarkation.

Additional facilities include air-conditioned salons, bar area, ample deck spaces for relaxation, and communal areas where guests can gather between dives.


Cabin

Iruvai has 9 guest cabins accommodating up to 18 guests in total:

All cabins are thoughtfully laid out with storage space, private bathrooms with hot and cold water, and natural light to make your stay at sea comfortable.

1 Master Suite:
Located on the lower deck, this cabin offers a total area of 16.72 square meters, features a king-size bed, a dedicated dressing area with ample storage. The bathroom includes double wash basins, a separate shower area, and a large bathtub, portholes.

1 Junior Suite:
Located on the upper deck, this cabin features a king-size bed, lots of seaview windows.

3 Guest Suites:
Located on the upper deck, each cabin offers a total area of 9.27 square meters, features a queen-size bed and a single bed, seaview windows.

4 Guest Suites:
Located on the lower deck, each cabin offers a total area of 10.22 square meters, comes with either a queen-size bed or or a double bed alongside a single bed, portholes.


Diving

The 4 Atolls route offers a balanced and varied introduction to diving in the Maldives, making it a popular choice for first-time visitors. Best time for diving
December to April, Central Maldives is suitable for diving year-round, these months are the Northeast dry season, and it's the time for best visibility and weather condition.
The visibility range between 20 - 40 meters year-round. And the currents are usually mild to intermediate. Diving depth range from 10 - 40 meters.

About temperatures
Air : range between 27°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : very stable and warm, range from 28°C - 30°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels, but to enjoy the best out of it, we recommend an AOW level with 30 dives.

North Maldives

Best time for diving
June to November, North Maldives offers great diving all year, especially in the Far North Atolls, you can expect sunny skies most of the year. And in Hanifaru Bay, each year during June to November is the famous cyclone feeding, which is a rare and spectacular event where over 100 manta rays can feed together and create a chain which the head of each manta ray touches the tail of the manta in front. This creates a huge spiral of up to 200 mantas along with their fellow plankton feeders the Whale Shark.

Sea : very stable and warm, range from 27°C - 29°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels, but to enjoy the best out of it, we recommend an AOW level with 30 dives. For the Far North Atolls, currents can be strong with choppy wave action, we recommend only for experienced divers.

December to April offers the best visibility and sea conditions. Although short spells of heavy rainfall can be experienced during the summer months, but this region do offer good diving all year round.

Sea : very stable and warm, range from 27°C - 29°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
Suitable for divers have AOW level with good drift diving experience, as there can be strong currents in the channels surrounding the islands.
